Pete Gibson, Tennis Professional Instructor
Pete has been playing tennis since he was 5 years old. He played varsity tennis for Pleasant Valley High School from his freshman year until he graduated. After that, he played two years at American River Junior College in Sacramento from 2016 until 2018. In the 2017—2018 season, Pete won the ITA Most Improved Player Award for California JuCo tennis players. He then transferred to George Fox University in Newberg, OR (currently ranked 11th in Division 3 Men’s Tennis), where he played out his remaining two years of athletic eligibility.
Pete has been coaching junior tennis part time since his junior year in high school, and has been consistently working with the CRC Youth Program for six years. He served as Pleasant Valley High School’s assistant tennis coach during the 2015—2016 school year, and also helped coach adult and junior tennis clinics at the George Fox Tennis Center for two years. Pete has always had a passion for tennis, and he brings that love into his work with the CRC Youth Program!
