Chris Hanks, Manager & Membership Director

Chris is a long-time member of the CRC (over 28 years) who originally joined the club to play racquetball, but within a short time fell in love with the sport of tennis and has been enthusiastic about the sport ever since.

Born and raised in the bay area, Chris moved to Chico with her husband Mike 47 years ago. She is a mother of a son, James and daughter, Christina.

Chris has participated in a number of sports, her favorite of which was bowling—where she maintained a 200+ average for many years. She was a member of the Western Women’s Professional Bowlers. As a bowling instructor, she gave private lessons, ran junior programs and taught CSUC classes. Along the way she bowled a perfect 300 game! She also managed the Pro Shop and drilled bowling equipment for over 12 years. One of her personal goals she achieved was being inducted to the Bowling Hall of Fame.

Because of her love for the sport of tennis, she enjoys working at the club and interacting with the members. She can be found in the office or on the courts most days, and looks forward to working with you!
