2023 Pickleball for Pups Summer Open

A fundraiser tournament to benefit Wags and Whiskers Pet Rescue of Chico hosted by the Chico Racquet Club and Resort
Join us for the 2023 Summer Open, a fundraiser tournament with a portion of the proceeds going to Wags & Whiskers Chico! In addition to the tournament, there will be dogs on-site available for adoption—and an ice cream sundae bar benefitting the Matt Schneider Memorial Scholarship Fund which provides funds for local high school athletes to continue their tennis training at the college level.

Open to all players, members and non-members
Registration closes 7/5
$40 entry fee per player - Doubles must register and sign up separately
Entry fee includes first event — $20 for additional events
Tournament t-shirt included
Singles: Friday 7/7 - Sunday 7/9
Men’s & Women’s Doubles: Saturday 7/8
Mixed Doubles: Sunday 7/9
Tournament Format
Singles, Doubles & Mixed Doubles
Round robin play with medal rounds for doubles and single elimination matches for singles.
The top two teams in each bracket will play for gold and silver, and the next two teams will play for bronze.
Singles 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5+
Doubles 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5+
Format subject to change.
Ball type: Franklin X-40
Start times are subject to change depending on heat, and divisions may be combined if not full.
