Bryan Golledge

Bryan Golledge has played tennis at the junior national, collegiate, open, and futures level.  He has competed against former professional players Mike Bryan, Bob Bryan, James Blake, Robert Kendrick, Dimitri Tursinov, Kevin Kim, Jeff Morrison, Joseph Gilbert, Zack Fleischman, Ryan Redondo, Marty Davis, and many others.  He was a 2-time Channel League Doubles Champion, 4 times 1st team All Channel League, and all C.I.F. in 1994.  He was a finalist in the SoCal Boys 18’s Sectionals Doubles in 1996 (loss to Joseph Gilbert/Dylan Mann) and the champion in 1997 (win over Ryan Redondo/Jose Lieberman) with longtime partner Sam Adam Webster.  He reached the Round of 16 at 18’s Nationals doubles in Kalamazoo Michigan with a win over James Blake the round before.

Bryan played two years for the UC Davis men’s tennis team.  He twice entered and twice won the Rolex Western Regional Doubles tournament qualifying both years for nationals.  He placed 5th in the nation at Nationals in Memphis for NCAA DIV 2 in 1997 (with Andrew Csordas) and 4th in 1998 (with Tate Chandler).  He was ranked #31 in the nation in NCAA Division 2 singles in 1998.  He posted the first ever men’s singles win for UC Davis versus Fresno State.

Bryan formerly coached the Dos Pueblos High School boys and girls tennis teams in Santa Barbara with his mother, Allison.  He took the boys to the school’s first and only C.I.F. Finals appearance losing a heartbreaking match to Servite 10-8.  He had players move on to play college tennis for Harvard, UC Davis, and the University of Redlands.  Bryan has taught national junior and adult tennis camps for Nike under coach Marty Davis. He was an assistant coach for the Diablo Valley College men’s tennis team in the East Bay under Coach Peter Benko.  He also taught junior clinics with Peter at Moraga Valley Swim and Tennis and assisted at other junior clinics in the East Bay including at Lafayette Tennis Club.
